Privacy policy

This is an English translation of the French privacy policy, which prevails in case of discrepancy.
This page explains what we do with your email address when you sign up to be notified of Shadda’s launch. In short: we collect the bare minimum, we only use it for what you asked for, and you can erase everything in one click.

Why we collect your address
For a single purpose: sending you information emails about the development and launch of the Shadda app (a welcome message, the release announcement, and project updates until then).
Your address will not be used for any other marketing communication without your prior, separate consent. It is never sold, rented or passed on to partners.
Legal basis
- Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for information emails. You give it by submitting the form after reading the text next to it. We record the date and the version of that text as proof. A welcome email lets you unsubscribe immediately if you did not sign up yourself.
- Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in protecting the form against abuse: a temporary technical fingerprint, described below.

When you unsubscribe, your address is erased immediately. Only an anonymous row remains (dates, source), used for statistics; it cannot identify you.
Who can access this data
Only Shadda’s publisher and the strictly necessary technical providers, acting on our instructions as data processors:
- Website hosting: Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva (Switzerland)
- Database: Supabase, hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany)
- Email delivery: Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France)
Data stays in the European Union and in Switzerland, a country recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no advertising cookies or trackers, so it shows no consent banner. No analytics tool is currently active. If we add one, it will be a cookie-free tool that collects no personal data, and this page will be updated.
Your rights
You can withdraw your consent at any time (unsubscribe link in every email, or the Manage my subscription page), and ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@getshadda.com. We reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or with your local authority.
Security
Addresses are stored in a dedicated database, separate from any app data and unreachable from the browser. Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Unsubscribe links are signed and allow no other action.
